Hush n Wonder

fashion, food, and all things fabulous

Forget spring fever. Without a doubt, winter has to be the most wonderful time to be in love.   There’s something about snow, fireplaces, cashmere sweaters, the holidays, twinkling lights, and the unmistakable quiet of the winter months that is classically romantic.  I also attended a winter wedding this weekend, and the whole event had a certain coziness to it that made it truly unique.  The photographs above are from an editorial in The New York Times Style Winter 2010 edition and are the perfect way to celebrate the winter solstice.   I love the way the ultra feminine fashions contrast the starkness of the trees but are still compelemented by the sunlight creating perfect halos around model Amanda Norgaard.    Below are some clothes that are as romantic as they are cozy, and would be perfect to wear while cuddling up with your sweetie during this snowy time of year.  Take note of the delicate details and soft hues that are key when pulling off that romantic winter look.
